亲爱的材料生物学领域的同行们,
近年来,人们对开发具有自我再生能力的生物活性材料表现出极大的兴趣,这些材料旨在刺激组织再生而非试图在体外重现复杂的生物组织或构造。2017年我提出“材料生物学”概念,提倡系统地研究生物材料在细胞、组织、器官以及整个机体等不同层次上的生物学效应。材料生物学关注的是材料生物学特性的作用,包括活性分子、材料特性和机械刺激,提供组合生物活性线索,介导生命活动,探索细胞反应和组织形成,调节微环境。它使我们能够创建生物材料基因组数据库,并为新材料建立理论支持。基于这一背景,我们于2019年成功举办了第一届“材料生物学”国际研讨会。
Advanced Science期刊是Wiley于2014年创刃的一本综合性、多学科交叉的开放获取期刊,致力于发表全球最前沿的研究工作,近年来不断吸引并发表了许多具有重要意义的生物医学研究成果,为学术界和科研人员提供了一个交流和分享最新进展的平台。

Since the concept of “Materiobiology” was first proposed by Academician Changsheng Liu, it has attracted wide attention and recognition from many well-known scholars at home and abroad. In order to further study the key scientific issues of materiobiology and clarify the development direction of the discipline, the "1st International Symposium of Materiobiology" was held in East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in Oct 23-24, 2019. More than 100 scholars in the field of materiobiology at home and abroad attended the conference.
